Importation of samples for EAC certification
Importation of samples for EAC certification
Samples, subject to examination (testing) for EAC conformity, must be officially imported.
Currently, the Federal Customs Service of Russia prohibits individuals from importing samples in their luggage, via post, online stores, etc.

Importation of samples for EAC certification

To obtain an EAC document (certificate or declaration of conformity), a product sample should be sent to a certification body for examination. Along with the sample, the body shall also request documentary confirmation — usually, a customs declaration — that the product was legally imported to the EAEU.

Currently, the Federal Customs Service of Russia prohibits individuals from importing samples in their luggage, via post, online stores, etc.

Importers/exporters sadly acknowledge that ‘samples may not be imported in a suitcase’.

Import procedure for samples

Samples, subject to examination (testing), may be imported temporarily (‘temporary import’ procedure) or on a permanent basis.

To import an electronic device sample, especially with a Wi-Fi or Bluetooth capabilities, you also might need a notification. Anyway, once we get your request we will:

  • verify the list of the necessary import documents,
  • help to prepare them,
  • advise you on further actions.
